Giveaway at She's Crafty

Yes, I'm blogging just for the extra entries (because I'm selfish like that--recognition is the first step to healing) :D. But it looks like a neat site too. Maybe one of you will be inspired by it?

Look Who's Blogging Now

I never get the time to do much on the blog anymore--who knew three kids in diapers could keep a person so BUSY! Looks like Robert's picking up the slack ;D. Love him! Maybe I'll try to do another post too.

We're Off!

Can't wait to see our family/friends.
Bummed about leaving Erie.
Hope the kids can make the trip.
Hope we packed everything.
Nana really wants to see her grandma and grandpa (and go swimming with them--don't ask me, it's what she says).

Groaner. . . But it's a good one!

It was said that pigs would fly before a black man became President of the United States. Well, they were almost right.

100 days into the presidency of the first African American President, swine flu.

Hahahahaha. . . Thanks for the laugh, Brittney.

Poll

Okay, I don't know how to do one of those official polls, but I'm curious. . . What do you all think I'm having? Girl, Boy, Both? Let me know. With my other two kids I KNEW, before they were born even, what they would be. . . this one? Ummm. . . not so much. I've gotten mixed signals. We find out on Tuesday for sure (unless the technician gets mixed signals too ;D)

Get the word out

Alterior Design

I'm trying to break into the blogging world (the bigger one). I really like image editing and decorating, and I am trying to combine the two on my blog. If I'm successful enough, one day I might be able to cover the cost of diapers. (Finding a place to put them all is another story :D). I need followers and commentators and people to get the word out for me. I will love you FOREVER if you do this for me!

Also. . . I need to build up a portfolio. Is there anyone out there that wants a FREE virtual makeover? Just send me a few pictures of the outside or inside of your house, and tell me what you would like to accomplish with that space, what colors you like, maybe a picture of a space that inspires you.

Okay, I'm really excited!

For Shame

So, apparently my typing skills aren't what they used to be (the sad thing is they are actually getting better!) I keep leaving out a letter or an underscore on people's emails when I invite them to the "real" blog. I'm sorry. Let me know if you think this may have happened to you, and I will quickly remedy the problem.

Happy Birthday Eenie!

It seems like Enoch is so much older than he is. . . it's like he's been in our family at least as long as Nana. Hmmmm. . . he's even smaller for his age. I think there's something wrong with the way I gage time. he definitely doesn't seem like my little baby any longer. He makes a cute toddler.

How to privatize

I've had a few people ask me about how to privatize.

If you don't care about the "fake" blog stuff--just go to settings--permissions--Blog Readers--only people I choose. Then invite up to 100 people to view your blog.

Look in my first post on this blog under the comments to see how I privatized--however, keep reading for awhile, because after I explained what I did. . . another friend told me how much extra work I had done! Basically, she suggests that you go to settings--publishing--and then change the domain. . . then quick make a new blog with your old domain if you would also like a "fake" blog with your original address.

I have a song stuck in my head.

If you're REALLY bored, you can go to the "real" blog to read about it. (But you have to be REALLY bored.)

Some Digi-Scrap Sites

Don't have an image editing program, but you'd like to try digi-scrapping? Try Phoenix at the aviary, or Picnik. Paint.net--although I don't know where to find it (Hava?) sounds like it is free to download (and you don't have to be online! Major Perk!). Phoenix is a lot like photoshop. . . Picnik is kind of it's own style, but it also has a lot of the same actions. The only bummer is that you have to upload all of your photos to the internet (Picnik uses programs like facebook, picassa, and flickr, I think Phoenix does too--or both can uplaod a pic online if it has an html code attached, or one straight from you computer).

Now, if you don't have any neat "paper" or "embellishments"--download some from shabbyprincess.com, or ikeagoddess.blogspot.com will show you some neat freebies she finds and where to download them.

Shamelessly Advertising

I would (almost) give my left arm to have one of these, and since that's about how much one would cost, I'm going to enter this giveaway and hope I win. Can you imagine? A double stroller? No more pushing Nana in our short, dysfunctional umbie stroller, while carrying Eenie (near impossible for a single person--thank goodness we have a baby carrier--of course, Eenie's getting heavy and we'll be needing the carrier for the new baby--is it possible to wear two baby carriers at once? Isn't there some law of nature that states you can't have three children three and under?). I really hope I win this stroller--or at least find a nice enough one at a yard sale someday. Feel free to enter for me ;D. . . lol.

What Was I Thinking?

Tomorrow I promise to show you what my skill level is like right now--I'm still learning, but I think I do pretty good. Okay, so some people can do these awesome-tripped out layers on their scrap pages--mine usually just look kind of weird (but I'm getting better: I hope.)--case in point: (look on the "real" blog to see).

Epson(dot)com--we'll call it the "Iron Age" of Digi-Scrapping

There's some more scrapbook pages on the "real" blog from when I finally discovered I could download free digi scrap supplies (albeit, they are mostly not as good from epson--so neither are my pages :P).

Digi Invites

Some more digi scrapping is up on the "real" blog.

Privatization effective IMMEDIATELY!

Let me know if you would like an invite to our private blog, "Our Growing Family" aka ourgrowinfamily(dot)blogspot(dot)com. Leave me your email (I won't publish your comment if you include your email).

I was getting worried about posting pictures of the kids, so when I told some friends that I would post some digi-scrapping, I decided I should go private before I put them on a blog. I found this awesome function and was able to export all of the posts that used to be on here (even all of the comments that were made! and my drafts, too!!!), so there was nothing holding me back from going private. Except. . .

PLEASE don't be shy. Ask me for an invite--it'll make me feel good :D. (Unless, of course, you happen to be a creepy stalker from my elementary school days with too much body hair and B.O. Then, don't bother.)

BTW, I still plan on posting the titles of the other blog posts for awhile, just so you can see that I'm still posting.
